Youth sports performance camps offered
MARQUETTE — The Athletic Department at Northern Michigan University has announced a series of youth sports performance camps to be held on campus this summer.
NMU strength and conditioning coaches Jenna Bruttomesso and Alex Morse have customized these camps for youngsters from kindergarten through middle school.
Both coaches possess master’s degrees and are certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association along with the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association.
Camps will be divided into grades K-2, grades 3-6 and middle school sessions, with each at the Superior Dome either two or three times a week for seven weeks from June 16 to Aug. 7.
For all sessions, cost is $200 and registration can be completed at the NMU Ticketing website, with a deadline one week prior to the start date, though spots are limited.
Youth participants need to bring athletic shoes, a water bottle and a post-session snack, and the coaches stress — have fun!
