Escanaba Football Clinic scheduled for April 25

GLADSTONE — The 61st annual Escanaba Football Clinic will be held on the evening of Friday, April 25, at the Terrace Bay Hotel along the scenic stretch of U.S. 2 and 41 between Escanaba and Gladstone.

Early registration by April 23 is $40 per person, or $35 for three or more coaches from the same school. Registation at the clinic will be $45.

Presented in the hotel’s large meeting room, the schedule includes three experienced coaches, all with backgrounds in the Upper Peninsula.

At 6 p.m. is scheduled a talk by Forest Park High School head coach Brian Fabbri on “Practice Routine and Game Preparation.”

Then at 7:15 p.m. will be Northern Michigan University offensive coordinator Billy Lindquist speaking about “Everyday Quarterback Fundamentals in the Option Game.”

And at 8:30 p.m. is scheduled Dean Altobelli, a state champion at Escanaba High School who played at Michigan State University and was a 14-year member of the University of Alabama coaching staff, speaking on “Defensive Secondary Skills, Techniques and Coverages.”

Presentations include time for questions.
