MARQUETTE — Eight area players earned Special Mention and Honorable Mention when All-Upper Peninsula awards were handed out in high school football during the U.P. Sportswriters and Sportscasters Association fall meeting held Monday.

Special Mention goes to players receiving two or more votes during First Team balloting, while Honorable Mention goes to all others.
