NEGAUNEE — Seven area players have been named to the MHSAA Division 3 All-District Team for District 65 by the Michigan High School Softball Coaches Association.
In addition, an Ishpeming softball player was placed by that coach’s group on the Division 4 All-State Team.
That was senior Payton Manninen, who was also named the West PAC Player of the Year.
The 14-player All-District Team in Division 3 has five players from West PAC champion Negaunee and two from Westwood. The balance of players are from Houghton and Calumet.
For the Miners, a pair of sophomores made the district team — outfielder Delaney Gladwell and first baseman Rebecca Lammi — along with two more juniors, catcher Kallen Schultz and at-large player Theresa Anderson.

Negaunee’s fifth honoree was a senior — pitcher Grace Nardi, who was also the West PAC Pitcher of the Year.
From Westwood, senior Megan Marta made it as an at-large player, while junior Izzie Marta earned her spot at second base.
Here are the other members of the all-district team, listed by school with year and position:
Houghton — Mackenzie Collard, sr. outfielder; Brynn Arko, sr. outfielder; Clea Ollanketo, sr. shortstop; Jacey Sleeman, soph. third baseman; Estella Soumis, jr. pitcher
Calumet — Lena Myhren, jr. utility player; Isabella Coppo, jr. designated player
