To the Journal editor:

Wow, what did I just watch! A U.S. president doing a commercial for a car company, on the White House driveway!? And who stood with him? The car company’s owner and his 4-year-old son. Just another example of how far this president will go to new and his supporters.

Was he paid for this commercial or were the networks who ran it? Oh, wait a minute, he was paid since Elon Musk donated $280 million to his 2024 campaign for the presidency. And now I have read, Musk will donate another $100 million to two political groups associated with Trump.

This is disgusting and hypocritical on his part!

1. Have you read/heard his comments about electric vehicles during campaign speeches? “They don’t go far. They cost a fortune. They’re expensive. Nobody wants to buy them.” Does he even listen to himself?

2. Why is he also not supporting other US car companies like Ford or General Motors? He should give equal time and energy to support those companies who also employ thousands of US taxpayers.

3. It angers me that he thinks the White House is his “playground.” A commercial from the driveway? Ridiculous! So make it at Mar-a-Lago on what is his playground. Leave the White House as a respected landmark of the people of the U.S.
