Christmas season a time of joy

To The Journal editor:

Winter is with us, some snow and soon Christmas Day. Just try to slow down and enjoy the real meaning of Christmas, the birth of God’s son, Jesus, a better way to live your life.

Being older, I remember we enjoyed the real Christmas. As we know, it’s very different. It starts in September with get out and buy more stuff.

Also, it’s a 24-hour, 7-days-a-week life. How much faster can we go? More traffic and driving a lot faster. One must make a choice with Justs coming into the world.

Slow down and realize quiet time is to enjoy more time with family. See the beauty of the winter season. Many are at a point of exhaustion. Align your pace with the Lord, take time to rest and then have more energy and better health.

Try to remember the simple things in life as I said before with the rest. Slowing down comes with better health, even sleep becomes better and most of all get away from your TV and tech stuff.

You will find it’s a better life and way to live if you choose Jesus. He said don’t worry about what you eat or wear, seek the kingdom. One day at a time.

Enjoy the real happy life while you can. So, for me, Christmas is a joyful time, the gift of a new life that is better than the way of the world.

Give it a try, you won’t be sorry.

God’s blessings and Merry Christmas. Enjoy our winter season.
