Melissa (Wainio) Larsen
NEGAUNEE, MI- It is with heavy hearts and sadness that we share the news of our daughter’s passing, Melissa Marie (Wainio) Larsen on March 30, 2025.
She was 59 years old, born on February 17, 1966. She graduated from Negaunee High School in 1984.
She joins her sister, Jackie Lynn Wainio, in heaven as well as her grandparents, Ed and Pat Kinkella and Oscar and Saima Wainio.
She is survived by her parents Barney and Jerri (Kinkella) Wainio of Negaunee; daughter Michaela Mae (Parker) Griebel and granddaughter Brooklyn Mae Griebel of Menasha, WI; sister Monica Wainio (Jil, Cristina and Angela Leverone) of Minneapolis, MN, along with aunts, uncle and cousins, and her dearest friend Cliff Porter.
Melissa always loved music. It was a big part of her life. She was a beautiful singer and guitar player. She was loved and will be missed. She is gone too soon. Heaven has gained another angel and she is singing with God.
