Gerald Paterick
BIG BAY, MI- Gerald F. “Jerry” Paterick, 94, of Marquette, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, April 5, 2025, under the care of U.P. Home Health and Hospice at Assisted Independence in Big Bay, MI.
Jerry was born on March 14, 1931 in Green Bay, WI to Joseph and Sophie (Shomin) Paterick.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 65 years, Eleanor Paterick; children, Bonnie (Ray) Ranta, Bob Pascoe, Janis (Mark) Caldwell, Fred Paterick and Brad Paterick; eleven grandchildren, Mark (Dulcee) Ranta, Aaron (Cortney) Ranta, Amy (Kyle) Martin, Jessica (Josey) Aalto, Dan (Katie) Pascoe, Melissa (Fiance Josh) Pascoe, Amber Pascoe, Joshua Caldwell, Amanda Caldwell, Jane (Jimmy) Snowden and Max Paterick; eleven great-grandchildren, Cole and Brett Ranta, Caydence and Charlotte Ranta, Seth, Ty and Ella Martin, Ernie, Everett and Emmett Aalto and Marissa Renoud; as well as many extended family members.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Sophie Paterick; and his son, Ron Pascoe.
Jerry’s family would like to thank Laura and Jim and their staff at Assisted Independence for their wonderful and loving care that they gave to Jerry for the past ten months. They are forever grateful.
Per Jerry’s wishes the family will hold a private graveside service at a later date.
