Cora Bush

MARQUETTE, MI – Cora Belle Bush, age 74, of Marquette, and formerly of Trenary, entered eternal life Friday, March 28, 2025, at Trillium House, in the loving, comforting care of her family.
Cora was born March 11, 1951, in Rich Hill, Missouri, a daughter of George and Mary Jane (Crabtree) Johnson. Her early years were spent in Missouri where she was raised early on by her grandparents.
On March 22, 1975, Cora was united in marriage to Kent David Bush and together the couple made their first home in Trenary.
For over 30 years, Cora served as a private duty home health care aide. She was a member of the Marquette Church of Christ.
In her leisure, Cora enjoyed working crossword puzzles and crocheting, and especially caring and playing with her grandbabies.
Cora is survived by her children, Rachel Bush, Donna Miller, and Kent D. “Junior” Bush, Jr.; her grandchildren, Steven, Noah, Hannah, Hayden, Anton, Christina, Joseph, and Graysen; and her siblings, David, Paul, and Leonard Johnson; several in-laws; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of nearly 39 years, Kent David Bush, Sr; her sister, Dora Maggard; mother-in-law, Alice J. Fetterhoff; aunt, Genevieve Fetterhoff; brother-in-law, Doyle Bush; and special nephew, Robin Brisson.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Marquette Church of Christ on Saturday, April 5, beginning at 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am. Jim Larsen and Alex Meredith will officiate. A reception will follow in the church fellowship hall. Spring interment for Cora and Kent will be made in the Mathias Township Cemetery, Trenary.
The family would like to express their appreciation to Dr. Spring Madosh for her compassionate and professional care of our mom, and to Lake Superior Life Care and Hospice for their care during mom’s final days.
