Christopher Cosco

MARQUETTE, MI-Christopher (Chris) Scott Cosco, age 53, of Marquette, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on April 21, 2025.
Born on August 5, 1971, in Medford, Massachusetts, he was the beloved son of Margaret Osborn and Robert John. A proud graduate of St Thomas Aquinas High School, Chris went on to serve in the United States Air Force as a Security Policeman. His service took him across the country and beyond, with memorable assignments at K.I. Sawyer Air Force Base in Gwinn, Michigan, as well as stints in Georgia, Korea, and Washington State.
Chris was a devoted father to his son, Joshua Ryan Cosco, born in 1992 to Chris and his then wife Jennifer Cosco. Josh was the light of his life and Chris was always seen on the soccer sidelines rooting Josh on. After returning to Marquette, Chris found his calling in real estate, where he built a successful career spanning over 20 years, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues and clients alike.
He shared his life with his loving partner, Kristine Goupille, and their beloved dogs, Zsa Zsa, Gidget, and two affectionate cats Lily and Lila. Chris’s warmth and humor were contagious; he had a remarkable ability to bring joy to those around him with his sense of humor and wit. His generosity was evident in his willingness to always lend a hand to neighbors in need.
Chris cherished spending quality time with his family, whether it was enjoying a day on the golf course with Josh or an afternoon boating on the beautiful waters of Lake Superior with Kristine. A talented cook and passionate Green Bay Packers fan, he embraced life with enthusiasm.
He is survived by his son Joshua, his ex-wife Jennifer and her mother Carole Van House, his life partner Kristine, her daughter Hailey Foss (Parker), her son Ely Goupille (Kate), his father Robert, his twin siblings Nicole Buisson (his nephews Henry & Ben) and Robert Cosco (his nieces Candice and Miriam), his Aunt Mary Cosco, his cousins Anne Bladd (Billy), Vinnie Cosco (Tara), Jon Cosco (Elise) and Jim Cosco (Sonia), and many, many friends over the years who will remember him for his infectious laughter and kind heart. He will be greatly missed, and Chris’s legacy of love and kindness will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to local animal shelters or by sponsoring veterinarian bills in Chris’s honor as animals were such an important part of his life.
