Alyssa Martin

ISHPEMING, MI- Alyssa Danielle Martin, 31, a lifelong resident of the area, passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2025.
Born on March 4, 1994, in Ishpeming, Alyssa was the beloved daughter of Jesse Martin and Lassandra Lampi-Martin. She attended NICE Community Schools and graduated with the Westwood High School Class of 2012. Following graduation, she pursued her passion for beauty and attended Bay College School of Cosmetology. For the past eight years, she worked as a cosmetologist and hair artist at The Man Cave, where she brought joy to many through her talent and creativity. Alyssa loved working with hair and makeup, always striving to make others feel their best.
Alyssa had a deep appreciation for music, collecting vinyl records, and treasured her extensive collection of Batman memorabilia. She found peace in nature, spending countless hours rock picking and exploring the outdoors. An exceptionally talented artist, her artwork adorned the walls of her parents’ home, a testament to her creativity and passion. Alyssa also had a deep love for reptiles and was especially fond of her pet snake, Medusa, who was a beloved companion.
Alyssa is survived by her loving parents; her grandmother, Mary Anderson; her brothers, Addison and Alaric Martin; her great-aunt and great-uncle, Sue and Allan Lewis; her aunts and uncles, Lisa Koval, Kaleb Smith, April Martin, and Michael Martin; as well as numerous extended family members and dear friends across the country. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Louis Lampi; her paternal grandparents, Don and Evelyn Martin; and her cherished brother, Aidan “EE” Martin.
Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and celebration of both Alyssa and Aidan’s lives on Friday April 11, 2025 at the Ishpeming VFW, located at 310 Bank St., Ishpeming, MI 49849, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
