Carl Peterson
PALMER, MI- Carl Robert Peterson, 84, longtime Palmer resident, passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning, March 25, 2025 while in the care of the staff at UP Health Systems Marquette.
Carl was born February 6, 1941 in Marquette to Robert and Helen (Zisch) Peterson, and worked various jobs throughout his working career.
Mr. Peterson enjoyed racing cars, and spending time with his loving family. He was a member of the Richmond Township Club, and enjoyed an occasional trip to the casino.
Surviving is his daughter, Penny Peterson (Michael) Marta of Palmer, one granddaughter, Jaqualyn (Jon Mathews) Peterson of Palmer, 2 loving great grandchildren that he adored; Barbara and Robert, one sister: Linda Kaebisch of Milwaukee, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife Leona Barb Peterson who passed in 2013, one son: Carl Robert Jr. (2015), sisters: Margaret and Judy, and one brother Donny Peterson.
Honoring Carl’s wishes, a celebration of his life will be held at a later date this upcoming summer. The family thanks the wonderful staff at UP Health System Marquette for the compassionate care provided.
