Mary Pennala

Mary was born in Jackson, MI on September 17, 1945, a daughter of the late Veronica June and Frank Clarence St. Amour.

Mary worked various jobs locally including newspaper delivery for the Mining Journal, driving bus for Head Start and working in the lunchroom at C.L. Phelps School.

Mary is survived by her companion and caregiver Patricia O’Neil, four sons Ron (Melissa) Still, Donald (Sandra Hadstat) Pennala, Joe (Stephanie Larson) Pennala, Codey (Johannah) Pennala, a brother, Jack (Debra) St. Amour, two sisters; Laura (Paul) Crothers and Shirley (Sam Turri), Grandchildren; Brad Still, Natalie (Ryan Heilala) Still, Kyle (Natalia) Still, Kiya Still, Mackenzzie Hebert-Pennala, Hunter Pennala, Jaden Pennala, Coraline Pennala, Carter Pennala, Xander Pennala, Eve Pennala, Arlo Pennala, Chris Still, Amber Jarvi, and Nicole Jarvi, two great grandchildren; Olive, and Remi, along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents Veronica and Frank St. Amour, a daughter Theresa “Terri” Jarvi, and a brother Clarence “Sonny” St. Amour.

Mary’s family will greet relatives and friends from 1:00 – 3:00 pm on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at the Bjork and Zhulkie Funeral Home.
