Sherry Wiederholt

WIEDERHOLT, WI- Sherry Contois Wiederholt, 63, of Winneconne, WI, passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, after a long courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

She was born September 15, 1961, in Marquette, MI, to Lynn and Barbara (Wiley) Contois.

After graduating from Marquette Senior High School, she attended Northern Michigan University for two years. She met her future husband, Kevin Wiederholt, in 1981 at the NCO Club on K.I. Sawyer AFB. Sherry and Kevin had two children, Tamara and Brandon. Together they went on to have many adventures and homes while Kevin served in the United States Air Force. After Kevin retired from active military duty in 1998, the family moved to Winneconne, WI where they established their forever home.

Sherry’s love for kids led to a long career in childcare. Sherry did both in-home daycare and worked at multiple daycare centers in the different places she lived. She provided structure, love and care to all her kids and in return, both the kids and their parents respected and cared for her.

Sherry enjoyed reading, cooking, baking, crafting, shopping, and traveling. Above everything, she loved the Lord and her family. She was her family’s biggest supporter and cheerleader. She showed up for everything and was always there when she was needed. She was so excited when she became a grandma. Sherry retired from Christian Community Child Care Center to watch her grandbabies, while mom and dad worked. She made sure to give them the best experiences and showed them all of the love.

Sherry was preceded in death by her father, Lynn Contois; and brothers, Kenneth and Bryan Contois.

Sherry is survived by: her loving husband, Kevin Wiederholt; daughter, Tamara (Allan III) Eastman; son, Brandon Wiederholt; grandchildren, Kendra and Wesley Eastman; mother, Barbara Contois; sister, Linda Contois; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
