Roger Hill

Roger was born on June 20, 1961, in Saginaw, MI, to Delores and Charles Hill. In 1968 the Hill family moved to the Upper Peninsula, where his father Charlie was born and raised.

As a young boy, Roger played in Marquette Junior Hockey. A born salesperson, Roger often sold the most candy and raffle tickets for hockey fundraisers, winning several prizes along the way. In high school, Roger played goalie for the Marquette Electricians and Marquette Senior Highschool Redmen. In the ’70s he discovered his second passion, playing Guts Frisbee, playing in many tournaments.

As an adult, Roger started his own carpentry business. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing, as well as hiking and camping.

Roger is survived by his sister, Shelly McGowan (husband Keith); brothers, Stanley (wife Maria), and Jack (wife Wendy Heller); as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Delores Hill.

Per the family’s wishes no formal services will be held.
