Geraldine Keskimaki
MARQUETTE, MI- Geraldine Karen Keskimaki, 84, of Marquette, passed away Monday, January 20, 2025, at Mill Creek Memory Care, under the care of Lake Superior Life Care & Hospice.
She was born November 11, 1940, in Ashland, Wisconsin, a daughter of the late Reynold and Lembe (Nuutinen) Luoma. She was raised in North York, Wisconsin and worked at the family store. Following high school, she moved to Minneapolis, MN where she lived with family while working at Sears.
Geraldine married Eugene Keskimaki on July 23, 1966 and the couple eventually relocated to Marquette.
She was a member of the Purple Heart Women’s Auxiliary and 10th Mountain Division Auxiliary. She enjoyed cooking and crafting.
Geraldine is survived by her son, Ray (Gina) Keskimaki of Marquette; grandchildren, Abby Keskimaki of Marquette and Kristine (Mike) Pfaff of Sheboygan, WI; great-grandchild, Harper Pfaff; sisters, Melodie (Bob) Boettcher of Shellsburg, WI and Sheila Mack of Ashland, WI; brothers, Gene Luoma of Marengo, WI and Jack Luoma of Chaska, MN; and numerous nieces, nephews & cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; infant son, Tony; and brother, James.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 2 pm at Fassbender Swanson Hansen Funeral and Cremation Services. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place in Pine Grove Cemetery in Chatham.
