Beverly Kippola
TILDEN TWP, MI- Beverly Lucille “Bev” Kippola, age 81, Tilden Township resident passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility while in the loving care of her family.
Beverly was born in Falls City, Nebraska on May 23, 1943, a daughter of the late Myrtle Marie (Cox) and Earl Castan.
Bev worked in housekeeping at Bell Memorial Hospital in Ishpeming for 25 years. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church.
Bev was a member of the National Mine Diet Club, an avid supporter of Westwood High School sports, where she attended numerous boys’ and girls’ basketball games home and away, and was an avid Packer fan. She enjoyed trips to the casino, going on cruises, and bus trips with Lane Dawson. Bev loved to listen to oldies country music and Christmas music. She especially enjoyed the time spent with her family.
Bev is survived by her husband Gerald Kippola, whom she married on June 17, 1959, three children; Daniel (Lori) Kippola of Marinette, WI, Connie Kippola of Ishpeming and Steven Kippola of Ishpeming, two grandchildren; Danielle Mendelsohn and Matthew (fiancee Lindsay) Mendelsohn, a brother, Ronald Castan of Port Orchard, WA, a sister, Joyce Ingram of Puyallup, WA, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Bev was preceded by in death by her parents, Earl and Myrtle Castan, a brother Robert Castan and two sisters: Patricia Peterson and Ann Sharples.
Honoring Bev’s wishes, cremation will take place, and a private family service will be held.
