Terrence Molag

TRENARY, MI- Terrance “Terry” Molag, age 64, of Trenary, died unexpectedly in his sleep at his home on Thursday, December 19, 2024.

He was born on September 1, 1960 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Roger and Joan (DeBoer) Molag. Terry grew up in Byron Center and Kentwood, and he graduated from Lowell High School. While working at Steel Case, he met Bridget Kenyon. They were married on June 7, 1996. Terry, Bridget, and their young family moved to the Upper Peninsula in November of 2004. He owned and operated Terry Molag Builders for many years. When his knees started giving him problems from all the years of roof work, he dissolved his company and got his CDL. Terry was a long-haul truck driver and then worked at the Alger County Road Commission in the winter. He enjoyed spending time with Bridget, and they took many road trips around the Upper Peninsula. Terry loved hunting and taught his sons all he knew about that passion. He was one that could tinker and fix anything. Terry was always happy and loved his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of over twenty-eight years – Bridget Molag of Trenary; children – Chris (Shannon) Molag of Grand Rapids, Matt Molag of Byron Center, Julie (Kris) Bird of Waukesha, WI, Cody (Kyla Johns) Ransier of Escanaba, Emily Molag of Trenary, Elizabeth Molag of Waukesha, WI, and Benjamin Molag of Trenary; granddaughters – Camilla, Caliyah, and Adeline; parents – Roger and Joan Molag of Florida; brother – Todd (Leslie) Molag of Grand Rapids; father-in-law – Bruce Kenyon of Trenary; brother-in-law – Brian (Kathleen) Kenyon; and numerous nieces and nephews.
