Mary Anderson
GLENDALE, AZ-Mary Frances Anderson, affectionately known as Grandma B, entered eternal life on November 6, 2024, in Glendale, Arizona.
Born on September 29, 1951, in Marquette, Michigan, to the late Edward (Pete) and Marie (Sis) E. Anderson, Mary dedicated her life to serving others through her work in home health care, a true testament to her compassionate spirit.
Mary’s quick wit and boundless love brought joy to all who knew her. She was the beloved neighborhood Grandma B (for BEST), always ready with her favorite phrase, “You know what…? I love you.” She was a haven of warmth, where holidays were celebrated with crafts and baking and tea parties, creating cherished memories with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mary’s love extended beyond her family to her cherished pets, including her cats Mr. Poop, Poopet, and Kitty, and her granddogs Harper and Winifred (Winnie). Her nurturing spirit was a reflection of her deep faith, which guided her throughout her life.
She is survived by her daughter Heidi (Chris) Zorza of Glendale, Arizona; granddaughters Ellexsis Thomas of Mesa, Arizona, and Sydney Zorza of Phoenix, Arizona; and great-grandchildren Jadyn Turner, EmMarie Turner, Peyton Thomas, Skarlett Swartz, and Aria Thomas. She also leaves behind her brother Raymond Anderson, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Judith Greet, brothers James, Dale, and Jerold Anderson, nephew Kevin Anderson, and niece Carrie Carlton.
Mary will be laid to rest at Northland Chapel Gardens in Negaunee, Michigan, alongside her sister Judy next summer. Her legacy of love and faith will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her. You know what…? We love you more than tongues can tell.
