Paulette Campbell
LARGO, FL-Paulette Rae Campbell, age 71, of Largo, Florida, with family connections in Traunik, died unexpectedly at her home on October 6th, 2024.
She was born on June 2nd, 1953, in Pontiac and was the second oldest child of the late William and Emilie (Knaus) Campbell.
Paulette grew up in Melstrand, where her father owned a general store, until she was 5, when the family moved to L’Anse. She spent long weekends at the family’s homestead in Traunik, baking strawberry rhubarb pies and catching critters down at the creek. During her middle school years, the family relocated to Graham, North Carolina, where they lived until she graduated from Graham High School. Paulette then attended Western Carolina University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology. She went on to become the manager of the phlebotomy lab at Durham County Regional Hospital.
Paulette was a homemaker with three children, whom she raised in Seminole, Florida. She enjoyed being an active part of their childhoods, often participating in the PTA and hosting large events at their home. She decorated and catered these events herself, expressing her love through cooking, baking, and acts of service.
She is survived by her children and spouses – daughter Amanda & her husband Dan Dietzen, son Scott Walker & his wife Ivona, daughter Alena & her husband Josh Gordy; grandchildren – Amanda’s children – Walker, Rae, Wren, Iris. Scott’s children – Eva & Noa. Alena’s children – Jamison & Jennings; her siblings – Albin Campbell, Lisa Wethern, Scott Campbell, Jessica Streightiff, Mary Hoffman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Paulette was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Emilie Campbell and her sister Marla Richards.
Graveside services will be held at the Mathias Township Cemetery in Trenary on Saturday October 19, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. Paulette’s obituary and online guestbook may be found at bowermanfuneralhome.net.
