Charles Prusi

Charles was born on February 4, 1944 to John William (Bill) and Jennie Prusi. He met Virginia “Ginny” Oja and they married December 3, 1966 in Humboldt Township.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Ginny and his parents. Other loved family members preceding him in death are: Chuck Kovala, Nash Payeur, William and Inga Oja, Jerry and Margaret Oja, Richard and Charlotte Oja, Judy Lahetela, Harry Williams and James Williams.

He never met his two infant grandsons Samuel and Matthew Prusi, but he would talk about them often and comment on how we don’t know if we will live minutes or years but when our life’s work is ended, our name will be called.

Charles leaves behind 6 sons, Joshua and Lisa, Jonah, Jeremiah, Joseph, James and Bethany, Jake and Phoebe along with his daughter Abigail and Ian MacFarlane. Also remaining behind are his grandchildren, Chase and Bailey, Nathaniel, Naomi, Logan, Brody, Cole, Adam and Amelia Prusi along with Abby and Zane Morris, Lillian and Wyatt Nelson, Kyla and Lian Aragon. He also leaves behind his siblings, Bill and Naomi Harju, Kathy (Punkin) Kovala, Doug and Deb, Rod and Nancy, George and Audrey Wright, Ken and Theresa Oja and Sarah Williams. It would be remiss of us not to mention the Bellevue Cousins who are left behind along with many loved nieces, nephews and a host of sisters and brothers in faith.

The funeral will be held at the Independent Apostolic Lutheran Church located at 1044 Co. Rd. 492 in Negaunee, Michigan on Saturday, October 19, 2024. Visitation will start at 11:00 am until the start of the funeral service at 2:00 pm. Lunch will be served prior to the burial service. Burial will be at the Humboldt Twp. Cemetery following the lunch.
