Jennifer Grace”Jenni” Mannor

Jennifer Mannor
SANDS TOWNSHIP, MI – Jennifer Grace “Jenni” Mannor, age 51, of Sands Township, entered eternal life Wednesday, May 10th, 2023, at home.
Jenni was born November 20th, 1971, in Marquette, a daughter of Darrell Eugene and Jill Diane (Marceau) Baker, Jr. She was raised in the Skandia area where she, along with her siblings, enjoyed the great outdoors, fishing, hunting, and going to the camp at Lake Gerald with her father. She attended the Gwinn High School and transferred during her final year to Marquette Senior High School where she graduated with the Class of 1989. She enrolled at Northern Michigan University and received her Associate Degree in Business. Married and with a family to raise, Jenni managed to balance her roles of mother and homemaker with being employed many years with Lake Superior Hospice Association. On March 7th, 2003, Jenni married Douglas G. Mannor and together they made their first family home at Shag Lake, later purchasing a home in Sands Township in 2014. In 2009, Jenni became employed as a surgical inventory analyst with Worldwide Surgical Equipment, a position she held until ill health made working no longer possible.
In her leisure moments, Jenni enjoyed decorating her home, picking berries, and attending the sporting events of her children and grandkids. She was always their best supporter. Her childhood pursuits of fishing and hunting remained with her and both she and Doug spent many hours on the lakes and in the woods. However, it must be noted in fairness, that Jenni was hands down the most accomplished of the duo. She shot better than Doug and seemed to catch the biggest fish and bag the biggest deer. The couple took a memorable and most enjoyable trip to Alaska last August and during that time Jenni landed a 118 pound halibut and Doug a slightly smaller one.
Loving and devoted, Jenni is survived by her husband, Douglas G. Mannor; her children, Kelli Baker, Stepheniey Lyke, Douglas G. (Liza) Mannor II, Magena Lyke, Megan (Cameron) Simpson, Dustin Mannor, Madeline Mannor, Brooke Mannor, and Emily Mannor; many grandkids; her stepmother, Mary Luttinen; a sister, Nancy (Michael) Hares; brothers, Darrell (Sarah) Baker III and Robert (Julie) Baker; her mother-in-law, Yvonne Mannor; sisters-in-law, Amy (Dennis) Giannakakis, Barb (Paul) Mueller, and Cindy (George) Zureikat; many nieces and nephews; and her beloved canine companion, Griffith, who has been like a brother to her children.
In addition to her parents, Jenni was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Gaylord Mannor and brother-in-law, Matthew Mannor.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the First Presbyterian Church, Marquette, on Friday, May 19th, beginning at 10:00 am, until the time of service at 12:00 noon. Rev. Gary Stevens will officiate. A reception will follow in the church social hall.
