William "Michael" Yoder
IRON RIVER, MI – Michael Yoder passed away on Sunday, October 30th, at Aspirus Hospital in Wausau, Wisconsin.
Michael was born on March 19th, 1975, in Minot, North Dakota. Being a military child, he spent his childhood in North Dakota, Indiana, the United Kingdom, and finally Gwinn, Michigan. Michael graduated from Gwinn High School in 1994, and then earned a license in Cosmetology from Northern Michigan University. He used his talents in San Diego and Las Vegas. In 2015, he moved to RAF Mildenhall, England, with his sister and brother-in-law, where he brought his hairstyling expertise and managed a salon. Michael returned to Gwinn to help care for his father while he fought cancer. Michael loved helping others and discovered his passion for caregiving while working for the Adult Learning Center in Marquette. He then moved to Iron River and recently earned his Certified Nursing Assistant certification. Michael had a God-given talent for music. Although he had no formal education in music, he taught himself to play the piano. He composed music and mixed his own vocals to create beautiful songs. Michael’s generosity in life continued through organ donation and he was honored as a spirit donor. His many talents, generosity, and love for people and animals will be greatly missed.
Michael leaves behind his beloved dog; Denver, fiance; Anthony Clements of Iron River, mother; Suzie Yoder and sister; Shannon Morales (Brian) of Lakeland, Georgia, he also leaves behind a grandmother, aunts, uncles, and cousins in Indiana.
He is preceded in death by his father; Bill, grandfathers, and a grandmother.
A celebration of his life will be scheduled at a later date.
