George R. Baumler

George R. Baumler
NEGAUNEE, MI – George R. Baumler, 68, of Negaunee, Michigan entered eternal life Friday, September 30th, 2022, at UP Health Systems – Marquette.
George was born on March 25th, 1954, the eldest son of Albert and Alice (Berger) Baumler and grew up in Carney Nadeau before moving to Negaunee 20 years ago.
George was a kind soul that would do anything for anyone and had a deep love for all animals. He would call himself the dog and horse whisperer. The only thing stronger than his love for animals was his love for his family. George always greeted you with a hug and let you know how long he had been waiting for that. If you knew him, you probably had special nickname given to you, Rocko, Jacko, Peanuts, Loretta, JoJo, beautiful girl, my little coyotes, Susie baby, big guy, aunt Judy my best buddy… to name a few.
He loved his country western music, movies and doing puzzles. George loved family get-togethers and was always ready to share stories with his loved ones and tell a joke.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, Albert, and Rose.
George is survived by his brother, Ron (Jackie) Baumler of Negaunee, special nieces Rhonda Peterson of Two Rivers, Wisconsin, Jamie Armatti of Gwinn, Jody (Andy) Grundstrom of Marquette, great-nieces and nephews, Tyler Peterson, Shyann Peterson, Caiden Peterson, Evan Armatti, Neil Armatti, Kennedy Grundstrom, and Saylor Grundstrom. He is also survived by an aunt, Jane Parrett of Menominee, and numerous honorary aunts, whom he loved dearly and held a close bond with.
At the request of the family, there will be a private celebration of life for George at a later date. If you would like to share a special moment or memory of George, we welcome you to do so in the tribute section. Special thanks to UP Health Systems of Marquette for the care he received before his passing, as well as Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home for handling all of his afterlife care.
In parting, may we all live life as lovingly as George did and hold our loved ones close to our hearts.
