ISHPEMING, MI – Robert J. “Bob” McCullough, age 85, of 210 Oak St., Ishpeming, passed away on Thursday, August 25th, 2022, at UP Health System – Marquette.

Robert was born on February 18th, 1937, in Marquette to the late Robert H. and Stella (Farr) McCullough. Bob graduated from Gravaraet High School in Marquette in 1955 and received a bachelor’s degree in education from Northern Michigan University in 1972. He served in the Michigan National Guard for 13 years.

Bob worked for LS&I Railroad for 43 years retiring in 1998. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He really enjoyed woodworking. He was a member of the Senior Kiwanis and an active member of St. John’s Church.

Bob married the love of his life, Nancy (Hebert) at St Joseph Church on June 30th, 1962, they just celebrated their 60th anniversary.

Bob is survived by his wife; Nancy, four children; Daniel (Jeanie) Robert (Allison), Steven (Stephanie) and Tammy (John) Bianco, 10 grandchildren; Danny, Megan (David), Andrew (Sutton), Cory (Haley), Kyle, Casey, Rachel (Joe), Angela (Kali), Haley (Carl), and Matthew, five great-grandchildren; Annabelle, Theo, Benji, Kennedy, and Evelyn, one sister; Sandy (Ray) Hernandez, sister-in-law; Judy (Bob) Yohe, aunt; Regis Hofer, one special niece; Jamie (Pete) Ketchem, nieces and nephews; Jenny (Mark) Bishop, Greg (Sarah) Yohe, Dina (Chad) Yohe, and Kevin Yohe, and several great-nieces and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; Bob and Stella McCullough, brother; Terry Lee, mother-in-law and father-in-law; Angie and Clarence Hebert.

The family will greet relatives and friends from 1:00-4:00 pm on Wednesday, August 31st, 2022, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Ishpeming, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 4:00 pm, with Fr. Ryan Ford as celebrant.

Pallbearers will be Bob’s grandsons.

A luncheon will follow in the K/D Hall at St. John’s.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Thomas Huffman for all his care and friendship, also, a special thanks to UP Health System – Marquette ER and sixth floor staff.
