President Erica Huss passed the gavel of the Rotary Club of Marquette to Greg Nyen who assumes the office on July 1. Erica served for 16 months after her predecessor, Ted Finco, transferred from the community. She oversaw two successful golf outings, membership growth of 10 members, administrative reorganization, a multitude of service projects, and greater involvement of members in projects and activities. The Rotary Club of Marquette consists of 67 community minded members who contribute over $20,000 to local organizations and scholarships, support needs in the world like Polio Eradication through Rotary International, do work projects at places like the Presque Isle Bog Walk and Bay Cliff, coordinate hosting of Rotary Youth Exchange Students in the high school, and many more activities.
