Father Christian Flagstadt is one of two of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Marquette’s newest priests. He is shown being ordained to the priesthood by Bishop John Doerfler on June 3 at St. Peter Cathedral in Marquette. Father Flagstadt was appointed associate pastor of St. John the Evangelist and St. Joseph, Ishpeming, and sacramental minister of St. Augustine, Republic, and Sacred Heart, Champion. He studied at Sacred Heart Seminary in Detroit. Father Flagstadt’s home parish is Holy Family, Flat Rock in Gladstone. Brandon Yanni is the second of two of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Marquette’s newest priests. Yanni is shown being ordained to the priesthood by Bishop John Doerfler. Father Yanni was appointed associate pastor of All Saints, Gladstone after studying at Sacred Heart Seminary in Detroit. His home parish is Holy Name of Mary, Sault Ste. Marie.
