Ship loss talk on tap
MARQUETTE — Join the Marquette Maritime Museum’s Maritime History on Tap lecture series at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Ore Dock Brewing Company in Marquette.
Bruce Lynn, executive director of the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum, presents “The Gales of August: The Sinking of the Western Reserve.” The Western Reserve, a steel freight steamer enroute to Two Harbors, Minnesota, sank off Deer Park, Michigan in Lake Superior in 1892.
