MARQUETTE — The Marquette Downtown Development Authorityis exploring a 30-year extension of its existing TIF Plan (#4) by establishing TIF Plan #5.

To support this effort, it is forming a development area citizen’s council and are seeking nine residents from Marquette’s Downtown District to participate.

A district map is available at www.downtownmarquette.org/about-downtown-marquette.Adopted in early 2024, TIF Plan #4 expanded the DDA TIF district to include most businesses and buildings along North Third Street.

Extending the plan for 30 years will help bring these development goals to life across the downtown district.
