Crystal Theatre season set

CRYSTAL FALLS — The curtain is rising on the 2025 “Gem of a Season” at Crystal Theatre. Eight performances beginning in March and extending into October offer a range of musical talent that will appeal to a variety of musical tastes.

The Knockabouts, a Celtic trio, give an early welcome to spring and a nod to St. Patrick’s Day March 15 with traditional, contemporary and original tunes.

On April 12, in a program called “Last Date: the Floyd Cramer Story,” pianist Jason Coleman celebrates the music made famous by his grandfather Floyd Cramer, Hall of Fame artist touted as “the cornerstone of the Nashville sound of the 50s and 60s.”

On Aug. 2, The Nashville Hitmen, a group that has become a Fungus Fest favorite, will present “American Gold/That 70s Music ’25.”

On Aug. 17, Sixtiesmania, a leading tribute band based in Las Vegas, amplifies and extends the popularity of the music of the iconic 60s decade, playing everything from The Beatles to Woodstock.

Inspired by artists like Chris Stapleton, the Grateful Dead and John Prine, The Make Believe Spurs trio, booked for Sept. 13, produces a versatile sound. Sept. 28, Mauricio (Chico) Sanchez, Mexican classical guitarist and storyteller, explains through songs and stories how Latin American and Spanish music has influenced music in the states.

The grand finale to the 2025 Gem Season Oct. 16 promises to be grand indeed. AbbaMania is a rock musical featuring nine musicians performing 21 of ABBA’s hits with all the choreography, costume changes and big studio sound.
