Marquette Choral Society, seen here performing some years ago in the St. Peter Cathedral in Marquette, welcomes new members for the Spring 2025 season. Rehearsals will begin at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 13, in the Choral Room (Room 250) in the Thomas Fine Arts Building at Northern Michigan University. At their concerts in April, the choir will feature Benjamin Britten’s “Rejoice in the Lamb,” Randall Thompson’s “Frostiana” based on the poetry of Robert Frost, and John Rutter’s “The Sprig of Thyme.” All singers are welcome to register at rehearsals on Jan. 13, 27, or Feb. 3. No audition is required. Please come early to register. A registration fee of $65 covers the cost of music, which singers keep, and contributes toward concert expenses. Full or partial scholarships may be available. MCS rehearses from 7-9 p.m. Mondays, in the Northern Michigan University Choral Room (Room 250) in the Thomas Fine Arts Building.
