Sewer main leak reported
MARQUETTE — The city of Marquette reports that a sewer force main on Granite Avenue sprung a leak Sunday. An estimated several hundred gallons leaked to the surface and pooled up on the road. The main was been shut down and the leaked stopped. Repairs (were made).
Because of the ice and snow, no sewage entered the storm water collection system. The impacted snow was hauled away to the wastewater treatment plant for disposal.
