New PWPL series coming up

MARQUETTE — Peter White Public Library announced a new program series, Cyber Clinic. The series is a partnership with the Upper Peninsula Cybersecurtiy Institute at Northern Michigan University, presented by Meredith and Robert Kulishek, whose support makes this critical educational series possible.

Running from February through April, Cyber Clinic will be held on the third Monday of each month in the Shiras Room from 6-7 p.m. This hour-long program will provide up-to-date information on computer and internet safety, catering to the unique needs of different groups within the community.

The first session, launching Feb.17, is tailored specifically for seniors. Cybersecurity experts from the Upper Peninsula Cybersecurity Institute will highlight common security threats and scams that target older adults. Participants will learn practical tips and tricks to recognize and protect themselves against these evolving, invisible dangers.

Future sessions include Cyber Clinic: Families on Monday, March 17, which is perfect for parents and guardians of children and teens. This session will provide guidance on keeping children safe online with managing apps, messaging, and more. Cyber Clinic sessions are free and open to the public. All programs will be held at Peter White Public Library.

Starting at $4.62/week.
