MARQUETTE — Two board games are available locally based on Marquette County locations. Once of the games, Marquette-opoly, is a fundraiser for Whitman Elementary School’s playground improvements. The game, which costs $19, tax included, is based on city locations and has a picture of a lighthouse on it. The Marquette County game has a number of businesses advertised on the box and is being sold for $20 plus tax, at some locations.

ISHPEMING — Ishpeming and Iron Mountain will again host major ski jump meets in 1965 under the sanction of the Central United States Ski Association. There will be international flavor at some of the meets, especially the one at Ishpeming where the Suicide Hill Ski Club has extended invitations to jumping teams from foreign countries. Both Norway and Austria have agreed to compete. Invitations have also gone out to Finnish riders who performed so creditably in the past Olympics.
