Museum to mark big lake
MARQUETTE — Marquette Maritime Museum’s annual Lake Superior Day celebration is from 1-4 p.m. Sunday on the museum grounds on the shore of Lake Superior. This event is focused on providing fun activities for learning about the history, conservation, ecology and regional importance of Lake Superior.
Officials will have a variety of outdoor booths by local environmental organizations, tables and family-friendly activities alongside activities specifically geared towards kids. Lake Superior Day, which began in Thunder Bay in the early 1990s, was started to celebrate the body of water that dominates and defines our region.
This is a free event. Call 906-226-2006 if interested in a booth
