Grant to be guest artist
The Zero Degrees Art Gallery has Susan Grant as its guest artist for the month of May. She is a local resident who has traveled the world and is a self-taught painter. Her favorite subject matter is local sunsets and sunrises, which she paints using water based oils. After a career as a dancer, she started painting and continues to be very productive. She and been in the Outback Art Show and has shown her work in galleries and other venues in the Marquette area. There will be a reception for her from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, May 13 at the Zero Degrees Gallery, 525 N. Third St. in Marquette. The public is invited to visit the gallery to see her colorful sunset paintings as well as the work of the 40 regular members of the gallery and its student artist Lily Smentkowski.
