ISHPEMING — A man and a woman died Monday evening as the result of a single vehicle crash on County Road 581 in Ishpeming. the Marquette County Sheriff’s Department deputies was dispatched to the scene near County Road 482 just before 6 p.m.

When they arrived, deputies discovered passengers of the vehicle were already deceased. It appeared the vehicle left the roadway and crashed into trees.

Both roadways were temporarily closed as accident investigators conducted an investigation, which is ongoing.

Police are not releasing the names of the victims pending notification of their family members.
