Arrest made in Marquette vehicle theft

MARQUETTE — The Marquette Police Department arrested a 27-year-old Chippewa County resident on charges relating to a vehicle that was stolen from Washington Street in Marquette Tuesday morning.
At approximately 8 a.m. Tuesday, police responded to a report of a stolen vehicle. Police say that witnesses reported seeing the vehicle at various locations around Marquette before it was located around 9 a.m.
During the investigation, police took the suspect into custody and lodged them in the Marquette County Jail on charges of unlawfully driving away and operating without a license.
The suspect faces five years for the unlawfully driving away charge and an additional 90 days for the operating without a license charge.
