Two Gwinn residents arrested in Esky meth bust
ESCANABA — The Delta County Prosecutor’s Office announced the arrests and arraignments of two individuals who allegedly had over 200 grams of methamphetamine in their possession.
On Saturday, Michigan State Police troopers and Gladstone Public Safety officers conducted a traffic stop of two vehicles.
Law enforcement located roughly 208 grams of methamphetamine discarded in the woods and subsequently arrested Jenny Lynn Donahue, 40, of Gwinn, and Corey Allen Racine, 35, of Gwinn.
According to the press release, Donahue was arraigned on Tuesday and Racine was arraigned the next day, Wednesday.
Donahue was arraigned on one charge of delivery/manufacture-methamphetamine, a crime punishable by up to 20 years in prison and/or $25,000.
A $20,000 cash/surety bond was imposed with bond conditions.
Conditions include but are not limited to not leaving the state; not using or possessing alcohol, controlled substances, marijuana or other mind-altering substances; not entering any bars, taverns or other places where the primary purpose of the business is the sale of alcohol; and being subject to random drug and alcohol tests.
Racine was arraigned in the 94th District Court on one charge of deliver/manufacture-methamphetamine, a crime punishable by up to 20 years in prison and/or $25,000.
Racine was initially granted a personal recognizance bond due to a medical issue.
