Arrests follow drug search at Marquette home

MARQUETTE — Two people were arrested on felony charges following a police search for drug activity at a Marquette home.

Marquette Police Department officers executed a search warrant Friday at the residence located on the 1300 block of Waldo Street.

During the search, police seized methamphetamine and associated drug paraphernalia.

A 48-year-old female resident of the home was arrested and charged with controlled substance-possession of methamphetamine. This charge carries a prison term of up to 10 years.

Police also arrested a 42-year-old male resident of the home. He has been charged with controlled substance 2nd or subsequent offense- possession of methamphetamine. He faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted.

Both suspects posted bond and are scheduled to be arraigned Feb. 17 in Marquette County District Court.

Their names are being withheld pending arraignment.
