Traffic stop ends with felony drug arrest

ST. IGNACE — At about 11:41 p.m., Wednesday, Michigan State Police troopers from the St. Ignace post made a traffic stop of a vehicle for an equipment violation on North State Street near Keightley Street in St. Ignace, according to an MSP press release.

Troopers identified the driver as 38-year-old Mandy Craven of St. Ignace. Craven was found not to have a valid driver’s license and had outstanding warrants for her arrest.

After further investigation, Craven was also found to be in possession of methamphetamine, which is a felony offense.

Craven was arrested and lodged in the Mackinac County Jail. She was arraigned in the 92nd District Court in St. Ignace.

Her bond was set at $1,000. She is next due in court on Tuesday.
