IRON RIVER — Two people lost their lives Wednesday in a two-vehicle crash in Iron County, police said.

The incident took place at 1:27 p.m. Wednesday on U.S. 141 near the intersection with Bates-Amasa Road.

A 2013 Chevrolet Silverado and 2019 Chevrolet Cruze were involved in the crash.

A 27-year-old man and a 30-year-old female passenger in the Chevrolet Cruze, both Horicon, Wisconsin residents, were killed in the crash.

A third person in the Cruze, was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The single occupant of the Silverado, a Pelkie, Michigan man aged 21 years, was also taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries.

Names have not been released. The investigation into the cause of the crash continues.
