3 arrested on felonious assault charges in Baraga County
Troopers responded to a 911 call after three subjects had allegedly physically assaulted two others. A firearm was also allegedly discharged multiple times, but no one was reported to have been struck by gunfire.
Troopers and Sergeants from the MSP Calumet and MSP Negaunee posts located and arrested two male and one female subjects at the Bear Paw Inn in Three Lakes. One of the male subjects resisted arrest and was charged with resisting and obstructing a police officer.
All three subjects were lodged at the Baraga County Jail.
On Tuesday, they were arraigned in the 97th District Court – Baraga on the following charges:
≤ Austin Conn, 18, of Ishpeming was arraigned on assault with a dangerous weapon. His bond was set at $1,000 cash.
≤ Jeremy Vetter, 24, of Michigamme was arraigned on charges of assault with a dangerous weapon and resisting/obstructing a police officer. His bond was set at $5,000 cash.
≤ Alexis Hernandez, 21, of Michigamme was arraigned on assault with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery. She was given a $10,000 personal recognizance bond.
All three defendants are due back in court on Dec. 3.
