Marquette business owner Beth Millner passes; future of business uncertain

MARQUETTE — Longtime business owner and Marquette resident Beth Millner died on Sunday. As a result, her jewelry business may remain closed permanently.

“Beth Millner has passed — she passed on Sunday,” said Marquette Downtown District Authority Business Outreach and Promotions Director Michael Bradford.

Beth Millner Jewelry has been open for nearly 20 years in Marquette, and in that time it has fundraised more than $65,000 for 63 organizations across the Upper Peninsula, such as the Superior Youth Arts Theatre, Upper Peninsula Land Conservancy, Superior Watershed Partnership, and Noquemanon Trail Network, the Moosewood Nature Center, Julia Nesting-Palm Memorial Scholarship Fund, the Women’s Center and more.

“As an integral part of our business ethos, we are dedicated to giving back to our community,” the Beth Millner Jewelry website reads. “With our fundraiser jewelry program, we’ve successfully collaborated and donated towards many noteworthy organizations and charities.”

The website also states that any orders placed will be refunded.
