Philip Wayne Pulver

MARQUETTE, MI. - Philip Wayne Pulver, 78, of Lake Charles, LA, died at 2:45 AM on Friday, August 30, 2013 in a Lake Charles hospital.

Mr. Pulver was born on February 12, 1935 in Marquette, MI, where he was a 1953 graduate of Graveraet High School.

He resided in Lake Charles, LA since 1974. Mr. Pulver retired from the military after serving twenty years in the U.S. Air Force. He served during the Vietnam War. Mr. Pulver worked at PPG for twenty-two years before retiring.

He enjoyed many things in life including woodworking, playing cards with friends, fishing, and was an avid coin and stamp collector. He was a huge fan of Alabama football.

Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Pulver Estilette (Wilfred Joseph) of Lake Charles, LA, and Lynn Sessions (Stan) of Dothan, AL; a son, Kenneth Pulver DiStefano (Nancy) of Mesa, AZ; a sister, Judy Eames (Fran) of Harvard, IL; three grandchildren, Rusty and Rachel Estilette, and Heather Sessions; and a great granddaughter, Hailey Estilette. Also surviving is Shirl Vicktoria Estillette of Lake Charles, LA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Ailie Pulver.

Cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home in Lake Charles, LA.
