MARQUETTE, Mich. - Richard Charles Jarman, age 72, entered eternal life, Friday, May 24, 2013 at Marquette General Hospital.
Richard was born April 29,1941 in Lansing, Michigan, a son of Charles and Myna (Wynn) Jarman. Following graduation from high school, Richard enlisted in the U.S Marine Corps, serving in the military police, where he traveled the world policing at various U.S embassies. After his honorable discharge, he enlisted in the Michigan State Police, where he had an active career working as a State Police trooper, and later commander, in several locations throughout Upper and Lower Michigan. Following a lengthy career with the Michigan State Police, he retired and began duties with the U.S Marshals Service. In his spare time, he was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying all that nature had to offer, including hunting,fishing, and snowmobiling.
He is survived by his wife of three years, Penny Willis-Jarman; his sons Michael and Matthew Dupras; a sister Carol (John) Borycki of Egg Harbor, Wisconsin, and a sister, Charlene (Pete) Allmen of The Villages, Florida; his four legged faithful companion, Timbit, his beloved beagle.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call at the Fassbender Funeral Home, on Thursday, May 30, beginning at 2:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home at 4:00 p.m. Thursday afternoon, with Rev.
