MARQUETTE - Two Gwinn residents have been arrested on felony charges stemming from a two-month investigation into the reported larceny of jewelry.
The Marquette City Police Department arrested Christina Ann-Lane Koskela, 25, and Jason Bennett, 34, at a residence in Gwinn Thursday afternoon.
Police said the pair stole jewelry from Koskela's 75-year-old grandmother, who reported to police that the jewelry had been stolen while she was away on vacation.
Police said a review of records from a local jewelry store revealed the suspects had sold the jewelry while the victim was still out of town.
Koskela has been charged with larceny in a building, a four-year felony. Originally given a 10 percent of $10,000 bond, Koskela's bond was reduced at arraignment Thursday to personal recognizance. She is no longer lodged in Marquette County Jail.
Bennett is charged with one count of conspiracy to commit larceny in a building, a four-year felony, and one count of receiving and concealing stolen property of more than $200 but less than $1,000, a one-year misdemeanor.
He is currently lodged in jail with bond set at 10 percent of $15,000.
Both Koskela and Bennett are scheduled to appear in court for a preliminary examination April 30.
