Library to screen ‘In Darkness’

MARQUETTE - CineArts Films at Peter White Public Library, a series devoted to foreign and independent films, will show the movie "in Darkness" at 7 p.m. Friday in the Community Room.

The film is based on the true story of a sewer worker in Nazi-occupied Lvov, Poland, who hides a group of Jews in the town's sewers during 14 months of ever increasing and intense danger. The film is shown in Polish with English subtitles, runs for 144 minutes, and will be introduced by Marek Haltof from the Northern Michigan University English Department.
