February 24, 2013
The Mining Journal

MARQUETTE - The National Inclusion Project has partnered with Girl Scouts of the Northwestern Great Lakes to implement Let's ALL Play - Inclusion in Recreational Programs. The partnership will bring GSNWGL's inclusion initiatives another step forward, ensuring that girls with cognitive, social, and emotional disabilities continue to be integrated into the Girl Scout leadership program where they will learn new skills, participate in activities, and interact with others for an inclusive Girl Scout experience. The partnership will also provide training and resources to GSNWGL's inclusion staff who in turn will educate volunteers and girls about various disabilities and how to ensure that every girl is included in Girl Scout activities. As part of this initiative, the National Inclusion Project has awarded GSNWGL $10,000.
