February 7, 2013
The Mining Journal

The Marquette-Alger Great Start Collaborative recently presented Putvin's Drug Store with a Setting A Great Example award. Shown at the presentation are, from left: Amy Lassila, collaborative parent representative; Deb Nadeau, owner of Putvin's Drug Store; and Rae Bowerman, collaborative parent representative. S.A.G.E. awards are given semi-annually to a local business, organization or agency that exemplifies the vision of the collaborative: A great start for every child in Marquette and Alger counties; safe, healthy and eager to succeed in their education and life. For the past three years, Putvin's has been a supporter of the collaborative and has donated money for the parenting S.A.G.E. Award that recognizes good parenting.
